Caring for your Bombora timber furniture
Your timber furniture was built to last, but like all natural materials, it needs care to stay beautiful for years to come.
All Bombora pieces are finished with Osmo, a natural oil and wax product which protects the timber while allowing it to breathe and still feel like timber. To maintain this protection and to keep your warranty valid, you’ll need to use our the Osmo maintenance kit.

Osmo Spray Cleaner
The only safe product to use for everyday cleaning of your Osmo finished timber furniture. It gently removes dirt and grime whilst protecting the finish. anOff the shelf cleaners can strip the finish leaving the wood exposed to stains and water damage.

Liquid Wax Cleaner
A finish top-up that refreshes the surface of your indoor timber furniture and joinery. This product helps guard against stains and water damage while allowing the timber to naturally adapt to changes in its environment.
What to avoid....
> Avoid off the shelf cleaners the majority of products in the market these days are too harsh and will strip the finish.
> Don't over apply the finish top-up as it can be detrimental to the timber
> Avoid leaving spills sitting on the surface for long periods of time as they can soak through and damage the timber.
> Don't put very hot items on timber as it can burn. A mug or plate is fine but not pots, hair straighteners, casserole dishes etc.
> Don't scrub the surface with an abrasive cloth as this can damage the timber and the finish.
> Avoid contact with acidic liquids such as vinegar or lemon juice.
> Avoid soap or a liquid hand soap bottle sitting directly on the surface of your timber vanity or bench top.
> Avoid oils being left on the timber surface such as bottles of olive oil on your dining table or moisturiser.
How to apply the Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner
The Osmo Liquid Wax Cleaner product tops up the finish on the timber to ensure that the wood stays stain-resistant and resilient to environmental effects. We advise reapplying every 3-6 months on high-use surfaces such as dining tables, timber vanities and kitchen bench tops. The timber will start to become lacklustre when a top-up application is required.
> Ensure the surface is clean, dry and without dust. We only recommend cleaning the surface with the Osmo Spray Cleaner product.
> Apply a thin coat of the Liquid Wax Cleaner with a lint free cloth along the line of the grain.
> Allow 30-40 minutes for the wax to absorb into the surface of your furniture before use.
