Established in Melbourne in 2001, the Feelgood range of dining chairs focuses on natural materials, beautiful design and quality construction. What we love most about these chairs is the timelessness of the designs such as the Basket chair which was a design first released in 1951.
The feelgood design team have collaborated with selected designers to create pieces that combine traditional craftsmanship with high-quality materials. Their desire to make their chairs “feel good” refers to both the warmth of aesthetic natural materials bring to the space but also the touchability.
Rattan is cordage created from several species of palm which can be woven to make wicker furniture. The material is strong and flexible which enables it to create beautiful organic shapes. Feelgood designs rattan is handwoven which consumes minimal energy and also creates employment for struggling communities. Rattan is biodegradable, sequesters carbon and is renewable.
Each of the indoor range of feelgood dining chairs are constructed from different natural materials such as timber or rattan and are often paired with metal legs.
The outdoor version of the dining chairs are created from quality polyethylene to withstand the elements.
